All parishioners who volunteer at school, the child care center, scouts, youth groups, etc.are required to attend a VIRTUS "Protecting God's
Children" awareness session and any other parishioner is welcome to attend one as well. This program is an awareness forum on child sexual abuse dedicated to making our church, school and community a safe environment
for all children, and meets the guidelines for safe environments as required by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. Awareness programs are currently scheduled at several Topeka area parishes.
It is necessary to pre-register for the session you plan to attend. The following instructions may be helpful:
1. Using the Internet, go to www.virtusonline.org
2. On the left side of the page - Click on Registration (in yellow letters)
3. This screen asks for a registration password, type in: the *password & click on Enter

This screen asks you to select your organization:
Click the down arrow by the Select button & click on:
Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas & then click the Select button
5. Choose the I would like to attend a Protecting God's Children session
(It is the first one listed in the box)
6. Please complete the Registration Form that appears. The User Id & Password you. select will
be used in the future. It is very important that you select a Password & User Id that you will
remember. Also please note that the "Your Location" field refers to your home parish.
Locations not listed should choose the Archdiocese for a location. The required fields (marked
with a red asterisk) of the form must be completed before you will be allowed to proceed to the
next screen. After all required fields have been filled in, click Submit.
7. This screen displays a list of the Awareness Session scheduled. Click the circle next to the
Protecting God's Children for Adults session you prefer and click the Submit Registration
button.
8. You should see a screen that says "Thank You for registering.......
9. You have completed the Registration process. Thank you!

After you have pre-registered for a session, please call Susan and let her know that you have done so and what date you plan to attend. Your cooperation is much appreciated.
* Note the password is no longer required for first time visitors. Please follow the instructions to continue with registration process.
